Cookie Policy
Last updated 29 September 2026
Cookies and similar technologies are small pieces of data a site stores in your browser. This page lists what sitefar.com and the Sitefar app use.
The website (sitefar.com)
The website uses one thing that is essential and one that is optional. The optional one is blocked until you accept it: before that, the analytics code is not even downloaded.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| sitefar-consent (local storage) | Remembers your cookie choice. | Strictly necessary. First party. | Up to 12 months |
| ph_…_posthog (cookie and local storage) | PostHog analytics: an anonymous identifier so we can count visits and see which pages are used. | Analytics. Only with your consent. | Up to 12 months |
Change your choice
You can accept, reject or change your choice at any time. Withdrawing consent stops analytics and deletes the analytics cookie and storage from your browser.
The Sitefar app
The app signs you in with a session cookie, which is strictly necessary for it to work and so needs no consent. It also remembers your light or dark theme choice, and your cookie choice, in your browser's local storage.
The app asks separately whether it may use PostHog analytics, with the same cookie and storage as the website (ph_…_posthog, up to 12 months). It stays off unless you accept. With your consent it records which pages and features you use and, when you are signed in, your internal account ID. It never sends your email address, your sites' addresses or any WordPress details. You can change your choice at any time from "Cookie settings" in the app's sidebar. The app uses no advertising or cross-site tracking.
Blocking cookies in your browser
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, you won't be able to stay signed in to the app. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a refusal of analytics, and don't show the banner in that case. You can still choose to accept from Cookie settings in the footer.
